Hi Sue,

Thank you for putting up the marriage certificate.

Maria's Father looks like Timothy Fitzpatrick to me.  Did you notice that Mary O'Neil was witness, wonder what connection if any she has to Michael O'Neil.  Good another lead to follow up.

Cheers,

Janet.

Hi Janet

Thanks for all you help, l'm hoping for a lead that might lead me to a living relative . My mother is still alive and her grandmother Elizabeth died well before she was born, so mum has no information or photos of the family. l know the chances of finding a living one is very slim, but any way
Thanks again

Hi Sue,

If your confident that Maria’s Father was a Timothy, start a new topic on the Offaly/Kings County board giving as much Irish information that you have and likewise if your after any further information on the Australian end start a new topic on the Australia board.

Alternatively request the Moderator to move your posts to the appropriate boards.  Just click on "Report to Moderator" - bottom right of your posts.

Just be mindful of Rootschat policy about ‘living persons’.

Elizabeth O’Neil and Michael Grace had the following children:

Mary Grace born 1881, Panmure, Reg#11323

Ellen Grace born 1882, Panmure, Reg#24843
Ellen Bourke (nee Grace) died 1960, Fitzroy, age 78.  Reg#11148

All the best,

Cheers,

Janet.

It looks to me that Bridget Fitzpatrick was born c1837 ?

To search for records before the start of Civil records you need to know the family religion and also where in the county they lived - ideally the parish. Remember that not all parishes have records going back to the dates you need.

Fitzpatrick is a common surname so any additional detail you can locate in Australian records would help your search.

It's best to keep your post on the same family all in one thread. I've merged you recent post together and moved to the correct board for Co. Offaly (King's County)
