Hi Heywood
No Idea who Margrett is / was that you mentioned earlier be nice to find out though, perhaps another sister?
Thanks

Hi again,
this is working out really well for Gemma  :)
From the censuses there is at least a sister Margrett and a brother Anthony. In 1911 there is a grandson Jack also.
Not sure if you are familiar with Irish census site
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

best wishes to you and Gemma

Yes Bridge Street was renamed Tolan Street after Michael Tolan who was 25
years old local Tailor at that time, was executed by the Black and Tans in 1921.

Hi Gemma,

Having read the comment's on this post I think tou could be a relative of my family. Michael Tolan was my grandfather's grand uncle, Michael's sister Mary was my grandads grandmother. Ann Quigley maiden name Sweeney was Michael's mother, she was married twice. Our family is actually in the middle of doing a family tree on the subject. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure how this works and the post is quite old, but hoping to hear from you.  :)

I think I have to post 3 time's before I get the option to private mesaage. Did you find any more information on Michael and his family? Myself and my Mum are in the middle of researching the family tree. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away before we could get all the information. Michael's mother Ann Quigley is buried two or three rows behind the IRA republican plot (where Michael is buried) in Leigue Cemetery. Ann Quigley was married to pat tolan (no information on him) and then remarried Quigley and had more children.
