All the info. that I have,  is her father was Edward Poland,  mother Helen Hudson.


She has listed the lady she is working for in 1911 as her mother on her marriage certificate.

I'm so glad you found Elizabeth on the 1911 with (H)elen Hudson, Karen. I tried to find the Helen in England but nothing. I felt certain that I'd foud the right family.

Here's  Elizabeth's birth registration

Elizabeth Poland, March q, 1896, West Derby, v. 8b p 528

She was likely 15-16 when she married but because of the majority age being 18, she exaggerated her age.

I wonder what her death age was. I don't have access to the NZ data.

This looks like Henry's birth reg on the IGI:

12 Jan 1858, Kilbirnie, Ayrshire
Henry Polland 
Parents- Hugh Polland and Jane Mullen

What's the betting one or both parents are from Ireland.
