In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

French
Very hard to read but I think it is

Guilliame [William] Aler a la femme ?????  or a fe femme which doesn't make much sense
The p' after femme - could it be a contraction of pour (for)?
Can we get a better copy at all?

HI all, I think it's french, a Huguenot record. I will ask the person who sent it to me if they have a better scan. Thank you, Sara.
