Thank you so much for looking for me.  I really appreciate you taking the time and it means a lot to me because I am too far away to check for myself (Ontario, Canada).  :)

Today, I had a look through a 1932 edition of one of the local papers, the Arbroath Herald, but did not find a death notice for John. Unfortunately the auto-load fiche viewer was broken so I had to wind and re-wind by hand. Not a problem but now I have to exercise my other hand. Anyway, when I get a chance I shall search the other local paper the Arbroath Guide. Do you have any idea in which month John died ?

Re Henry and Agnes...you say they are buried in the Eastern cemetery. Do you know where, as in which area of the cemetery ?

Alex,

According to the burial register from deceased online - under situation of grave is says "Comp. E, Private No. 99". Not sure if this is a location or not?? He is buried with Agnes though and some of his children (Isabella, Jessie, Agnes) are there but I don't know if they are near.

Cemetery areas are called compartments in our cemeteries. I may have a map of this. If not then I will have a look... I have plenty time and it is not supposed to rain this week...hooray !

Alex,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You have been so kind to take these pictures for me. I really appreciate it. I didn't know about Walter as he was born and died between the census. Everyone I have come in contact with on this site has been so kind and helpful. It means a lot to those of us that are so far away from what we are researching.

Thanks  :)
