Thank you Odessa.
That at least gives me a bit of hope that I may find William on the actual registers.
Is it somewhere in Chester that will have these registers from the church?
Thanks,
Adam.

Hi John,
Thanks for replying to me.
Do you know how to view the lists for Great Budworth and Davenham that Sue did?
Thanks,
Adam Blease.

Hi Adam,

I consulted the burial registers for St Helen's this morning for you and couldn't find a burial c.1909 for a William Blease. Have you looked at the Northwich Cemetery registers to eliminate William Blease?
I did notice that when William Blease married Annie Evans at Witton in 1892, he gave his marital condition as "widower" it might be worth you finding his first wife's place of death and burial, it may hold a clue.
I had a quick look for a possible first marriage - there is one at Witton in 1885 of a William Blease, to a Mary Jane Stubbs.

Hi Odessa,
Thank you so much for doing that for me.
I am ever so confused as to his place of rest.
My dad said he has the marriage certificate to Annie Blease and noted two things....one was that Blease was with a Z and not an S, The other was that he was down as a widower.
Where did you consult the registers?
This mystery has been going on for so long now and I am desperate to find out.
Adam.

I have William Blease's in my family, -  all from around Witton and Barnton.  I haven't done anything much on that side of the family as yet, only that my oldest William Blease born in 1740 and was my 5th great grandfather.
I just had a quick look however in some preliminary notes of mine and the only William Blease that I could find that had died in Northwich around the time that you're looking for was one in 1904, at the age of 35 years.  There was another who died in 1904 at the age of 47, but that was in Bucklow.  Have you tried there?  I expect that you already have his death certificate which hopefully states his age.  I'm going away tomorrow for a week, but will check on this thread when I get back to see how you've got on and to see if I can find anything else to help you.

Hi Bullet
My William Bleases death occured in Northwich in 1909. The birth was registered in I think Feb of this year and his age is given as 56 on freebmd.org.uk.
So how are you connected to the Bleases?
Thanks,
Adam.

Hi Odessa,

Quick question....If a person lived and died in Witton, Northwich but is not buried in Northwich church yard or cemetery then where else could they have been buried?

Im so confused with all this.....

Adam.
