Capt John Neilson & John Neilson the solicitor
« on: Wednesday 16 February 11 20:26 GMT (UK) »
In 1788 a writer (solicitor) in Falkirk named John Neilson wrote to a Captain John Neilson, who was living in Bristol with an offer to purchase some farm land that the Capt. owned in the Falkirk area.  I am assuming that the Capt came from the Falkirk area and was a member of Lord Nelson's navy, although their could be other explanations for his title & location.

I am wondering whether these two John Neilsons are connected in any way and would be grateful for any assistance in identifying exactly who they were.
