Claidmhor,  This is very interesting.  The family turned out to be fredbear's ancestors, but I helped him go back a bit further.   I have Robert's marriage to Sarah Maria and two possible marriages for her Louisa's parents.
If you have these already O.K.
Let me know how far you have got back

Hi Rosemary Joan & Claidmhor
The Truesdales you mentioned are my family on my mothers side.
James Trusdale's son Robert (born 1828) married Ellen Ross of Clarkhill in Drumballyroney Church on 4 Sept 1849. Ellen was the daughter of James Ross a farmer of Clarkhill. Robert was a widower and Ellen was his second wife.  They had 2 sons Francis & Robert. After Robert died Ellen moved back to her family at Clarkhill with her 2 sons. They became known as Truesdales
Ellen's son Francis married Elizabeth Ferguson they had 2 children May & Samuel. There may have been more children.
Ellen's son Robert married Sarah Louisa Sterne in Belfast on 26 Dec 1883.
They had seven children, Francis, Richard, Sarah, Robert, William, David & Frederick the later being my grandfather
Montgomery, Truesdale, Hazzlett, Bell, Bassett, Jones, Hazzard. Hassard.

Hi Again
I think you are both ahead of me on some of the subjects but this is where I am. My Dad who passed away last July was William Richard Stern Truesdale son of David Truesdale and his wife Elizabeth Jane Hayes they had a daughter Louise who emigrated to Canada and married a Harold Spere they had one son who still lives in Canada. My grand-parents David And Eliza stayed on a farm in Upper Clarkhill. My grandfather died at an early age on 12th May 1935 as a result of an accident my grandmother remarried to Joe Kelly and came to Scotland with him.I have a copy of my great grandfathers will Robert who married Sarah Maria Stern from Belfast on 26th December 1883. I am sure you both know most of this already. My Dad told me his Uncle Frank stayed in 16 Blue Row Castlewellan and his family was Robert, Maisie, John, Frank and *. * went to America and joined the Police and as far as I am aware is still living on my last contact with his son * Truesdale.
His Uncle Fredrick Freddy as he called him stayed at 19 Blue Row and his family was Louise, James, Ruth, Eva and Samuel.
Aunt Maisie again he called her Cissie married George Kelly they also lived in Upper Clarkhill and their family was Victor, Bobby ad Maggie.
He also talked about John Truesdale who I assume was Franks son toured at times with carnivals he later became a paratrooper then a glider pilot he was shot down over Norway he eventually settled in Surrey. His other son Frank was badly wounded ended up a POW nd took part in the Chiang Kaj Chek if that's how it's spelt.
I am only as far back as my great grandfather and slowly working back , if you could provide me with any info I have not got an any copies of certificates/photo's of the family I would be deeply grateful as I don't have any photos of my far back relations.
Could I ask where both of you fit into our family tree.
Thank You

Claidmohr

I don't fit in to this family, although at first, I thought I did.  My Truesdales all came from Dromore,Co.Down, but I was interested in Robert Truesdale who turns out to be yours.
I will send you a private message so that I may scan and send you the records which I have.

Hi Claidmhor,
Yes we are related I am the son of Louisa Truesdale. Louisa passed away in 2005, her brother Samuel passed away 2 June this year.
I knew Franke & his brother John and I visited the Blue Row weekly up until 1971 when I left the area.
I have a photo of Ellen Truesdale's headstone which lists her sons their wives and some of their children.
Your grandfather's brother William died on the western front in 1916.
I have a photo of 19 Blue row taken after Fred Truesdale died and it was being renovated
