Burial in Essex
« on: Sunday 20 February 11 01:14 GMT (UK) »
 Hi There
I am seeking a death record for a Joseph Playle /Playl /Plail he married Elizabeth Clarke in 1779 at Braintree Essex England.
they had one son Joseph born June 16th 1774 baptism July 10th 1774 at Bocking Essex
I think this could be the Christening of Joseph Playle senior April 1749 Halstead Essex England father Thomas mother Elizabeth.
any help would be appreciated Chatso58

Hi

I'm not sure which connection you are trying to prove the Joseph Playle who died in Bocking in 1849 was the one married to Ann Turner in 1797 (no place given) or that he was baptised in Bocking in 1774?

If he was baptised in Bocking in 1774 as a Playle then the church would consider him legitimate. He would be baptised in his mother's maiden name if he was illegitimate and his parents married 3 years later in Braintree.

Burial Bocking
5th April 1837
Anne Plail aged 68

Does Joseph marry Anne Turner in Bocking and hasve children there?

Sorry I am not very good at explaining and yes I am trying to prove that the Joseph that died 3th of April 1849 is the same person that married Ann Turner
I believe my Joseph was Bapized on July 10th 1774 at St Mary's Bocking Essex England son of  Joseph and Elizabeth I see your point about Joseph being legitimate and his Surname being Clarke I have offen wondered about that. I am only going by another researcher finding of Joseph and Elizabeth so may be they don't belong to me after all.
Joseph married Ann Turner on 23th of November 1798 at St Mary's Bocking Essex England and they had a least one child a son Joseph born 9th of December 1798 Baptized on 15th January 1799 in St Mary's Bocking England I realize this is also very close to there wedding day but this is the information that was given to me by my research, and by the way thank you for the info. on Ann that fantastic I don't have any information about her I am very grateful

Hi

SEAX has some Bocking registers online up to the end of the C18th

http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/displayParishContents.asp

and this privately held index covers baptisms (1780-1840), marriages (1754-1851) and burials (1813-1865)
