Thanks for the years of operation, but no in almost every photo I have there is no notation on tha back!
What a pity they did not write who it was in the photo and the date taken??

Hi Rob

I have a 1870's photo album (102 photos) in NSW and like you no names and dates. I do know who owned the album and when and where the family moved but with big families I am no better off.

The only hope is that someone may have a copy of the same photo in their family album with a name. I have found three that way and they were from the same town and not related so must have been given when my family was moving out of the area.

I agree with China about the dates.
