Hi Kirsty,
I would really like to tell you all about Bertie Donnelly your grandfather and my grandfather! Have all the information you want so I want to give ou permission to use my email address, and if you don't want to, that's no problem. I would love to know who your parents were and how you are the lost grndchild, unknown to both existing families in Ireland! it would be very exciting for us, but if not for you, I'll understand. I was very close to him growing up and could fill you in on him bigtime.

I know this trail is going cold but I got excited when I saw the name.  Bertie's Grandson was my good schoolfriend and my father and his daughter were friends.  He had a pub in Mulhuddert (still there). In the 60's we used to make a trip out there from the city to visit.  I remember his bike hanging from the roof of the bar.

It looks as though you've signed up under a new RC account which might have something to do with not getting notifications. Did you change your email address a while ago by any chance?

Email addresses of other members aren't given out. However, Ben has been logged into RC this evening after your posts.

Ben it’s been a while are you still out there xx

Hi Kirsty,
You still out there?
I am related to Bertie Donnelly the cyclist too and have loads of info. First can you tell me who your mam and grand parents were? Was it Francis or Gabrielle? Or did you mean Grand niece?
Ben
