yes i totally agree with you, its just difficult trying to get to the right year ! I tried it just now i took a stab at one of the lines and was miles off the year i wanted then  tried again and it jumped on too far !

anyway i suppose i need a whole day, there isnt a short cut on the search engine.

 If you do a search of Rootschat you will find that there are several people researching the name FOTHERGILL but they are all "Up North".

1841 both Daughters are at home. So she was Widowed by 1841.

There is a Death Reg on FreeBMD;

Elizabeth and Ann are still together and unm in 1881.
