Davies of Firth & Stenness

     I would be interested to hear from anyone interested in the Davies of Firth and Stenness. They changed their name from Grimbister in about 1690. My ancestor John Davie b1809 married Jean Johnston. John's father, who had married Grace Esson in 1808, had only just returned from Hudson's Bay. Several of the Davies went with out with the Hudson's Bay Co. and all but one came back to Orkney,
