   My gtgtgrandfather lived in Edinburgh from his marriage in 1831 until his death in 1853. He married Helen Falconer and they had many children. Joseph McNaughton states on the 1851 Census that he was born in Dumbarton. We believe that he changed his name from McNaught and that he was born in December 1806. He was certainly in the north of Ireland in the 1820s and I would be interested to know if anyone has any information. His first child was named George,
