Brumby/Ellis PR lookup please

Good evening

I have a Marriage Cert registered in New Zealand showing bride as Alice Maud BRUMBY aged 19 [in 1884] and her parents were John BRUMBY farmer (dont know if he was in NZ at the time marriage took place) and mother was Martha BRUMBY [nee Ellis].  Alice shows her place of birth as Hatton, Lincolnshire. I hope I have read the writing correctly, but it looks like Hatton to me.

In 1871, John (48 born in Edlington (Yorkshire?)) and Martha Brumby (39 born in Hatton) were living in Hatton with eight children - William, Elizabeth, Sarah, Hannah, Betsy, Rosamund, Alice, Charlotte and John. Also an uncle, John Croft.
The head of the household is William Ellis who is the grandfather of the children.

Martha Ellis was living with her parents, William and Mary, in Hatton in 1841.

Marriage Jan-Mar 1855 John Brumby and Martha Ellis in Horncastle District, Yorkshire.

There is a tree on Ancestry with all of the family which lists 14 children, including two by an unknown spouse. Also has the ancestors.

Although JOHN Brumby Snr does not appear on the 1881 census it looks like they all came to NZ;

2 possible arrivals for Timothy DONOVAN of which I think the 2nd is more likely;
Arrived 14 October 1858 on the "Lord Ashley" with Catherine and Child
Arrived 07 July 1875 on the "Forfarshire"

It is also possible that the first entry is correct if the Child is Timothy.
What is Timothys Fathers name and Occp from the Marriage Cert?

There are 2 Timothys on the 1881 Electrol Roll;
1 in Haven St, Thames, Occp Miner
1 in Hamilton, Waikato, Occp Labourer (where I was born and grew up!)

NZ BMD has these Timothy DONOVAN Death Regs;
1880 age 79
1895 Age 14
1904 Age 66
1906 Age 82
1916 Age 6mths
1922 Age 72
1926 Age 72
1929 Age 74 ( Tree has this as your one)

As Alice/Timothy name their Daug Catherine (Kate) Timothys Parents may be Timothy/Catherine who arrive in NZ in 1858

Well done all of you. Its no wonder I couldnt find John & Martha, marrying in Yorkshire - I hovered around Hatton too long! I didnt have a clue when to pin down an arrival date in NZ and trawling through all the shipping lists on the numerous sites was not my ideal way of finding them. So thank you all so very very much. You have all opened up more avenues for me.  Its been a pleasant & welcome distraction from the sadness we are experiencing with the news of the earthquake.

Sorry Trish1120, while I was printing I just realised you had added a comment about my Timothy DONOVAN. Timothy is shown on his marriage certificate to Alice Maud BRUMBY as being 27 years old in 1884 which puts him born 1857. His father is listed on M cert as Thomas DONOVAN, mother as Ellen DONOVAN [nee Daley]. And I have had great news which I was ferretting around in Ireland's pages, that the horrendous handwriting for Timothy's placename of birth was Kilcrohane, County Cork. Timothy's occupation on m. cert is "miner".

Apologies for my first post, Horncastle is in Lincolnshire not Yorkshire. In fact one of the trees on Ancestry has the exact date and place.

26 Feb 1855 Independant Chapel, Horncastle, Lincolnshire.

Two trees have Hatton in Warwickshire, which is incorrect.

Although the 1871 census gives his birth place as Edlington, Lincolnshire, it is over the border in Yorkshire.
In 1841 the family is in South Ormsby, Lincolnshire.
In 1851, his father Robert in still in Ormsby with daughter Maria, born in Hemingby, and Charlotte born in Ormsby.
