my apologies mort29, i really shouldnt do family tree stuff with the kids around i am mulittasking badly here!    i should have said i have found the marriage on ancestry of percy and katherine.

that marrige of albert young and mabel looks right to me. or its the one that makes the lost sense at the moment. i have messaged the daughter of percy and am awiting a reply. she cliam she never knew her gradnfther and only knew her grandmother as nanny young, but i am hoping the names may ring some bells for her.

no i know that katherine lillian j was definately my ladies grandma, and the mother i have been speaking to, mum.
