Joseph corton

Hoping someone out there can help.
For years i have thought my ancestor had died a widow.
Joseph was born c.1804-1808 in chaddesden.
I have his death in 1861

his wife Elizabeth formerly Eaton died in 1845 in chaddesden.

from newspaper reports i have Joseph still around in 1853 - living in chaddesden - so i went looking in 1851 for a widower - no joy

it wasn't until today i found a Joseph Corton , in 1851, living in chaddesden - but with a wife called Rebecca

BMD states her maiden name was Rebecca Draycott.

am i "jumping the gun" - by assuming that Joseph Remarried???

Years ago - i found a baptism for a Joseph being baptised in 1808, the son of Ann

Can anyone out there help me connect the marriage to Rebecca to my Joseph corton?

regards

Betton
