My (long deceased) aunt Frances Rose Hole married a John Clarence Heighway who was born in Darlaston, Staffordshire in June 1892.  He died in Hendon, London in March 1942.  They didn't have any children.

Since Heighway is a fairly uncommon name, I thought you might find a link into your family tree at some stage  :)
RIP 1949-10th January 2013

Best Wishes,  Nick.

I usually find the telephone residential "White Pages" of foreign countries useful.

There are 34 "Heighway" surnames using a landline telephone in Australia.

If William passed his name onto his son then there is one W.Heighway in the Australian White Pages.

I can't seem to get any further Has anyone managed to find out if Phyllis Lubeck's mother was in fact Ross or Rice, or have any details about the mother and father of Frederick John Floyd?

Hi

It looks like your Grandmother was Phyllis Lubeck and she married William L W S Heighway in 1940 registration district Liverpool Q2 8b 434

evie

Hi

I think you may have to purchase this marriage certificate to get the names of their fathers and occupations, as I cannot see a marriage between a Lubeck and a Rice or Ross. However, I did see a Jane Rice to a Thomas E Kirk 1910 and then a Jane Kirk to a Philip Lubeck 1920. Please remember this is all supposition.

I'm pretty confused now as well although I was told that my ancestors on my mother's side originated from Chile?? Not sure where the name Lubeck comes from but doesn't sound English? I will try to purchase the certificate Thankyou  :)
