What an interesting photo!

It must have been quite unusual to take a photo of a lady in bed in those days.

Love the decanter! Did she need a couple of sherries to get her through the ordeal  :D

Best wishes, Judy :-))

This is going to sound daft but what a modern face she has!  Pechio's restore looks like a still shot from a period drama  :)  I love the light switch (is it?) fixed to the bedframe, elf and safety would have a field day with that  :o

A very unusual photo, am jealous  :)

what a modern face she has! Heather

I thought that too. Perhaps it is because she has her hair down - something not usually seen in a woman at that time.

Must admit I wondered about that. I can't work out if it does go to the lamp or behind it. If the latter, I thought it was a switch for a bell to ring for attention.
My gran used to tell me about a bell my dad rigged up over his bed with a switch in her room - all done with the best of intentions. "It'll save you having to get up in the morning just to wake me." She said it lasted about a week before it inexplicably "went wrong"! Seems dad had discovered a "wiring fault that needed looking at!"  ;D  ;D  ;D
