Looking for family of Margaret Gunn nee Guy b.Amble Northumberlend c.1885
Margaret Guy married George Gunn in Sept qtr 1904 Morpeth 10b 710

However, what I am looking for is the family of Margaret Alice Guy before she married.
The above were my friends Grandparents & the family of Margaret were never spoken of.
When asked it was said that Margarets brother brought shame to the family by being transported
for stealing.My friend as asked me to find any of the Guy family if possible.

I doubt if there was any truth in the transportation story as it had officially finished in 1868 but to all intents and purposes actually finished some years earlier.

Well this should certainly satisfy my friend enough although it won't stop her wondering
why she never knew any of her aunts & uncles on her paternal parents/grandparents side
of the family.
Now her mother is deceased she has no-one else to ask & the matter of the transportation
was the answer she got from her when asking why her dad appeared to have no family.
