Kelly Family
« on: Wednesday 20 April 05 14:06 BST (UK) »
My 4x great-grandfather James Kelly is on the 1881 census as James Kelley aged 75 b. Mayo Co. Ireland, so birth year would be about 1806.  He is shown with his 74 year old wife Hannah b. Tidenham, Glos. Eng. in Tidenham, Glos. Eng.
Are there any records that might show how he got to England - or maybe even Wales as Tidenham is right on the border with Wales?  and how do I go about finding the birth or baptism for him as I gather there aren't many early Irish records available?
