Morpeth marriage 1865 - COMPLETE
« on: Saturday 05 March 11 16:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi, really not sure how possilbe this is but can anyone help with a look up request for a marriage in Morpeth.
Jan- March 1865 Edward Conroy, its, of course, his wife Mary's maiden name I'm after.  Sorry dont know church. Bishops transcripts only go to 1840 and I wont be able to get up to the area again until summer, so just want to progress with Family Tree without such a long wait.  Any help greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

hi,on free bmd there is a marriage of an Edward Conroy in March qtr 1865 Morpeth to either a Mary Martin or a Mary Jane Taylor, you would need to send for the certificate to find out which one or someone might do a lookup at the archives at Woodhorn.

Hi, welcome to Rootschat  :)

Judging from your first post you've already had a look on freeBMD.

Unfortunately it will be difficult for someone to do a look-up for you unless you know in which church the marriage took place, since Morpeth was a large Registration District (list of parishes and townships here http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/morpeth.html )

many thanks everyone

I'll check on line for the 'Family Search' mentioned, you just need to know where to look!  I'm a member of 'Ancestry' so only finding my away around other on line searches.  I've already sent for a few certificates in my search.  Found the North Tyneside online marrige searches a great help for my Cullercoats family.

thanks again
