Bury cemetery Quebec
« on: Monday 07 March 11 20:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi I think one of my ancestors in buried in Bury cemetery Quebec and wondered how I could go about finding a gravestone for

Peter Pettit died 11th January 1947
His wife Eliza Jane Lennox died 12th May 1902
Charles Pettit their son died 3rd November 1989

Would anyone know where to start - I live in Scotland and unfortunately cannot visit Quebec

Thanks

Steven

Thanks for that Kitty - how do I take it a step further and find a gravestone?

Is there an email for the cemetery or do they offer a service of taking a photo for a fee? Couldn't see anything

Steven

Sorry Stephen,

I have only found transcriptions for this cemetery - no photos.  If you need a photo in addition to the transcription, I am not sure how you would get one.    :'(

I don't see anyone on the random acts of genealogical kindness site who will take photos in this cemetery.

Maybe someone else has an idea.

Would anyone know how or where I might find an obituary for the Pettit family in Quebec?

Haven't had any luck finding Bury Cemetery to see if there is a gravestone but thought I might have some luck looking for an obituary in a local newspaper

Thanks

Steven
