Think it says:

1864 November Twenty Ninth about 10h 0m a.m. Drowned on Sea-shore at ?Howswell parish of Kirkcudbright

All three are the same date/place/cause so some sort of shipping accident?  Not sure what the equivilent is in Scotland but looks like there might have been an inquest or some such as the informant is the Procurator Fiscal.

1864 November twenty-ninth about 10h 0m am drowned on sea shore at ?Homwell? parish of Kirkcudbright.  M  48 years.  Drowning.  Registered on the information of William Milroy Procurator Fiscal.  1864 December 8th at Kirkcudbright.  John ?Blackbrook? Registrar.

All three on the same page very similar - is this the result of a shipwreck?

Heather

Red post warning :  I was very slow typing!  but got much the same results as Ermintrude.  Couldn't see a place beginning with H on the coast near Kirkcudbright that looked likely sadly.

There is a Howwell Bay and a settlement called Howwell/Howell on the southern coast of Kirkudbrightshire, according to the OS maps on the NLS website - near the town of Balmae in what is now Dumfries and Galloway.  This map should show Howwell at top centre, and Howwell bay (not named on this particular map) is just below it:

Ooh good find Ermy!  How interesting, I wonder if the other two crew members' death certificates are on adjacent pages to the one shown?
