'Worker' family
« on: Tuesday 08 March 11 21:16 GMT (UK) »
Does any-one have any info on the 'Worker' family.  I have managed to trace my family back to a marriage of Richard Worker to Mary Riddy in 1780 at Wootton-by-Bedford.  Before that date the family seemed  to have disappeared.  The 'Worker' family name is an uncommon one and my thoughts are that maybe they came from another Country in the 1700's. ???
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My research indicates that the bulk of WORKMANs in Bedfordshire came from Flitton & Silsoe circa 1767-1879.

See an earlier thread at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,466428.msg3272079.html#msg3272079

A Tribal Pages tree shows the Flitton Workers as originating in Norfolk, but no evidence for this is shown
