William Wild - 1891 census - Please

Hello,

I have a hunch that my GGG-Grandfather William Wild married his late wife's youngest sister.

A help in proving my hunch would be finding William in 1891. I know he died in the 9th of June of the same year in Rochdale, so he should have just made it.

However I have never found him. I was looking for he alone but now I suspect he his married to his second wife. She is Hannah.
Her eldest sister was Mary Ann and their maiden name was Serginson.

William was born in Wolverhampton in 1824 and Hannah was born in Manchester in 1835.

I fear that having not found him before now is going to change just because of a possible wife, but you never know.

This looks a strong possibilty for the William who died Rochdale 1891 -but he is a widower???

What year was Mary Ann Serginson born...they marry in 1845 sep qtr at Manchester Cathedral

all events for Hannah Serginson.....married William May sep qtr 1868 ..(checked on lancsbmd)
a death for 1942 aged 80 ....so this won`t be her
so it leaves ONE record for Hannah Seginson  married to MAY...
do you have a marriage for WILLIAM WILD to HANNAH MAY ?

Hmmm, more questions 

That certainly is my William in 1891. As his job was that of a Plumber.

Still what are the odds of a William Wild and a Hannah Serginson on the same marriage record?

It is still possible, if Hannah died pre-1891.

Could Hannah have married William May but married again under her maiden name?

Mary Ann was born in 1824.

Hannah either May or Serginson seems to vanish.

Best I come up for my theory is HANNAH WILD who dies in Dec quarter of 1890 aged 56 (possibly 52) in Oldham. William was living at 199 Manchester Road, Oldham in 1881.

This appears to be just that - a hunch.  You already know that William was a widower in 1881 so any "marriage" would have to have taken place between 1881-1891 as you know he died in 1891 
 

Could Hannah have married William May but married again under her maiden name?

Did you check freebmd for that possibility and did you check freebmd for a marriage under her maiden name?

1861 Hannah and widowed mother and 2 siblings are living in Lambeth -so wouldn't any marriage be likely to have taken place there??

That marriage was in Manchester.  In 1891 - Hannah's birthyear was 1847 and birthplace Salford so not the same Hannah if her birthyear was 1835

and Hannah was born in Manchester in 1835
