Marriage of Charles Edward Pacey and Charlotte Elizabeth Topley, abt. 1885

I always heard that these 2 were from Somerset.  However, recent searches indicate that Charles was born in Freiston, Lincolnshire, and Charlotte possibly also in Lincolnshire.  Would like marriage details, and hopefully parents, especially Charlotte's parents.

These are the unly unmarried Charlotte Topleys on 1871 census, which suggests that the Lincs Link is possible.

by 1881, one of them had married/died and the other was near Boston:

FreeBMD gives no clues on which one can be excluded.

I can't see a Charlotte Pacey of the right age on the 1891 census.

Thank you so much.  Another relative has just told me that Charlotte was born Mar 15, 1856.  So Branston must be the one.   Did you find a marriage to Charles Edward Pacey?  Charlotte emigrated in 1887 to Canada so I think it would be before then unless she married in Canada.

Ages on censuses are notoriously unreliable - you adopt the Branston one at your own risk!

Still leaning towards parents Anthony and Ann.  I guess you didn't find a marriage between Charlotte and Charles Edward Pacey, between 1881 and 1886 (my best guess)

Just to let all you wonderful people know that Charles and Charlotte didn't get married until after they were in Canada.  Charlotte had parents James Topley and Sarah Clark and she was born in Kirkby-on-Bain.  What a struggle but solved in the long run.
