Hi.  My mother lived in Liverpool but all her family were from Wexford Town.  She was friendly with Suzie Wafer, there was also a sister Kitty and brother Frank.  I have some photos of the girls proberbly taken late 20s to early 30s.  Anne

Hi
thanks for your replies
Here are the wafers I am researching 1911 census as follows:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Wexford/Wexford_No__2_Urban/Faythe_Street/697202/

The William Wafer aged 45 on census is my husbands great grand father
The Richard Wafer aged 16 on census is my husbands grandfather

and here is the Wafer family on the 1901 Census

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Wexford/Wexford_Urban_No__2/The_Faythe/1807675/

I have more information about the above family - they eventually moved to Dublin
Would love to share my information with you
Regards

It just so happens that the Bride Street Church parish register entry for the marriage of William Wafer & Maggie Cahill follows the entry for one of my ancestors. They married in April 1892.

New Street, the address for Maggie and the witnesses, was later changed to Parnell Street.

I am researching my wifes Wexford family. One is her great grandfather George Wafer born about 1852, he was a Mariner and his father is named as Richard Wafer  (Deceased), Master Mariner, on Georges marriage certificate in 1898. His wife is possibly Catherine Cuff.

George had a sister Annie Mary Wafer who married William Redmond a mariner also from Wexford in Liverpool. In the 1891 England census they were living with Ellen Wafer the wife of another George Wafer so I assume they are also relatives as Ellen was also Annies bridesmaid.

Hope this information is useful.

Anchor wafer was my grandfather, he had three children, Francis (frank) Thomas, Katie and Susan (susie)
Frank (my father) married emily murphy in 1931, had four children including myself, * born in *, * in *, * in * and myself thomas in *. The photograph of the woman shown by "rattler" is my auntie
Susie and it looks as though it was taken in the rear yard of the house in Peters square in wexford. If anybody has more information about the wafer family I would be delighted to hear about it

Hi,
I am looking for a Thomas Wafer born 1848/50 from Enniscorthy Wexford. He moved with his wife Maria ? to Liverpool probably in the late 1860s.
                                     Regards Wafer.
