Clara Parish - John Kennedy and Anne Lanigan
« on: Sunday 13 March 11 22:00 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know if there is a contact address or email for this Catholic parish or is it now non existant.

I have had great luck in the past by contacting the parishes direct for help.

I have a John Kennedy and Anne Lanigan/Lannigan (my 4xGreat Grandparents) marrying at the parish approx 1802, so I am trying to see if there is any more info I can obtain to enable me to get back further.

I live in Canada, so it is not easy for me to get access to Irish records. I know there are some on microfiche at latter day saints locations, but do not have one local to me.

thanks in advance for any advice/help or if anyone is related to the above then even better :)

Unfortunately records for the RC parish of Clara , Co. Kilkenny have not been filmed by the National Library, and do not seem to have been filmed by LDS either.  Baptism records go back to the late 1770s, with gaps, but it appears that records for marriages only go back to about 1835

See : RC Parish of Clare, Co. Kilkenny
