George Collis of Dronfield
« on: Monday 14 March 11 16:07 GMT (UK) »
George Collis was probably born in Sheffield or Dronfield between 1740 and 1750. He married Hannah around 1775 and they had Ruth Collis (my great-great-great-grandmother) in 1778. I don't know what Hannah's maiden name was.

I think George died before 1792 in Dronfield and his widow Hannah remarried, aged 51, in 1792 in Dronfield to Edward Outram. Edward was a butcher and died in 1804.

I can't find a record of the death of George Collis in Rotherham before 1792. Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Simon

Sorry, George Collis died in Dronfield before 1792, not Rotherham.
