I have only got as far back the marriage certificate of Richard Wright to Charlotte Burns and the census results in the 1851 census . My family line runs from Richard and Charlotte's son William who married Emily Osborn in Stanford Le Hope in 1869.They had a son William George Wright who married Jessie Vinton, one of their children was my maternal grandmother Doris Wright .  Hope you have a fruitfull visit to the records office , my wife and I spent a delightfull day there a few years back and found it a wonderfull place. John

Oh Dear, I assummed it would have arrived by now

I see you have a Thompson name , are you related to Thompson from London circa 1870 and  Walthamstow circa 1900, lost after that date so far

Hi Louisa .
No my Thompson surname came about from a name change around WW1 it was changed from Weidig .My Greatgrandfather came to England around 1870 from Germany. The Thompson name came from my GGgrandmother who's second marriage was to a James Thompson ,who was from Linconlnshire ,though they ended their days in Barking ,my GGgrandmother being an Essex girl from Shenfield .
I will let u know when letter arrives .
         regards John
