Hello susieroe,

Thank you very much for your reply regarding the 'Heards'.  It is proving to be an awful lot for me to absorb at one go.  I have ordered the Wills for William & Catherine Heard to help me try and piece this family together.  Am I correct in thinking that the William Heard who married Catherine Gillam was baptised on 20th May 1734 at Countesthorpe to Teringham & Alice?  If this is correct I can't  find Teringham's  baptism on the I.G.I. to find who his parents were to link up with William Heard who died in 1751. I realise that the I.G.I. is far from complete and correct but for me to see the Countesthorpe parish registers could be a problem as I don't live in Leicestershire.  I am still working on the other questions that you mentioned on later generations. Hope that you can help me unscramble my brain.   ::) ::)                wisteria 16

Dear susieroe,
Many thanks for supplying me with a list of B.M.B's for Countesthorpe, I really do appreciate the trouble that you have gone to and cannot thank you enough for doing this for me  :).  I was trying to piece together this family but had only managed to get some of the details with the I.G.I. not being complete.  I, like yourself enjoy looking through the parish registers and find it very rewarding to trace a family that way, but it is not always possible.  I have ordered 3 Wills from the Leics. Records office and look forward to reading them when they arrive.  The one that I was really looking forward to reading was Tyringham's (who died in 1844) but they haven't got it. I will keep in touch with you and will endeavour to try and find some of the queries you have on later generations.       Best wishes    wisteria16

Hello wisteria,

Glad to do it, and give something back, so many people have helped me with queries.
Enjoy the wills, and happy hunting!

All the Best,
