Does anyone know this man?  Born 21/04/1902 in the St George district of Birmingham, died 09/03/1979 at Wandle Valley Hospital.  Death certificate says he was a retired Motor Mechanic.  Why was he resident at Wandle Valley Hospital.

Hi

'The Wandle Valley Hospital which opened in 1899 as an isolation hospital and closed in 1976 was originally a poor law hospital. Under the NHS it became long stay and geriatric hospital as well as taking isolation cases.'

so by 1979 it would have really just had long stay geriatric patients.
