But it wasn't an Edith J or an Edith M who married Alfred Lake in Lambeth in 1922.

If this is your aunt-then who were her parents(your grandparents)? Maybe we can confirm for certain who she really is from the census info.

Right then we have solved the mystery of who your family is.

Rosie noticed that in a previous post you mention that your grandad was Thomas Lindsay WOOD.
He married Edith Helen Humphreys in St Saviour in Dec 1897.

I have found the baptisms of both their children.

Edith Winifred Wood who was born on 30th Sept 1898 and baptised at St Peter's Walworth Southwark.
Parents Thomas Lindsey and Edith Helen WOOD.

And their son Thomas Lindsey Wood born 9th Sept 1902.
Baptised at St Michael's Lambeth.Parents same as above.

In the 1911 indexes there is a Wood family at 14 Halstead Street Brixton.

Back later with more info.

Therefore to answer your original question, "where is my aunt buried" now you have the correct dates. I suggest you read Valda's guide to burials in Surrey and contact one of links on there.

And also section 6 of the London and Middlesex board to the Sutton cemeteries.
