COWELL - Census please 1841/51
« on: Friday 22 April 05 07:26 BST (UK) »
Would anyone be able to find William Charles COWELL b.1834/35 possibly Castletown on a census, please?  By the time the 1861 census was taken he had moved to England.

Thanks,
OzzieJoan

Hi,

I have an ancestor who was from the Man - his name was George Cowell and was a merchant navy captain on The Bluebell circa 1811.  I don't know where he fits into my family, all we have is a old log book from his merchant days.  The only thing I can be sure of is that my grandfather George Cowell was born in Scotland 1902.

Ann :)
