Hiya Kev,

And a warm welcome to Rootschat  ;D

I have the 1841 index at home I'll get back to you tonight with any Percies + var I find.

Is it info on William Lowther Percie you particularly want?  Or Percie's in general in Annan?

All the best,
Pam

Hi thanks for the info. Jane Percy is my GGreat grandmother and this has helped strengthen the link. The Info I have for John and Isabella is only really a date of marriage 27 DEC 1850. John born mouswald and Isabella Kirkpatrick fleming. The connection to William i assume is through John, I do however know William L Percy was a brother of "Edward Irving" Tent (1697) I.O. Rechabites as I have a card with deepest sympathy to his representatives although it doesn't say who the are or have any dates on it. And the picture I have of the gravestone has Jane Percy and her daughter standing next to it. :)

Ok.

For 1841  there re families Pearcy & Piercy.

The "Heads" are or at least appear to be...

Andrew Pearcy 65 Ag Lab on English St.

next door...

Douglas Pearcy 25 Labourer also English St.

John & Mary Piercy both 30 on Hopetoun St have their  family (some born in England.

Let me  know if any of thesee  are familiar and I'll post details.

Hi Pam thanks for looking. Unfortunately I do not have any info after John and Isabella so I wouldn't know if any of your results are related. I will try looking for more info at Scotland's people and see if I can find any links to take me further back.
many thanks Kev.

p.s does anyone no anything about the rechabites in the area. :)

Hi Pam
Have some info on Johns parents. F. Andrew Percie (i know the spellings seem to change quite often) of mouswald occ ploughman and m. Mary Creighton. Mary died in 1847 aged about 43 poss 45 (blurred old picture) at carruthers parish ....... unreadable. any of this tie in with your 1841 census?

Cheers

Kev. :)
