has anyone come across Trafford Road Board school? I have a book given to my grandfather by the school for good attendance in 1893 but can't seem to find anything about the school?  :(

Hi wiccacat.
Trafford Road School was in Salford Lancashire, It was located on Trafford Road near to Salford Docks in the Ordsall area of Salford. It was closed down in 1960. I attended the school from 1954 to 1959. Did your Grandfather have any connection to the Salford or Manchester area?.
Regards Dave.

Hi Dave. I don't know off any connection with the area at all. All my records for the family have been in Suffolk. I'm very confused?  Thanks Cat

The Trafford Road Board Schools were built in 1885. There were a Boys School, and a Girls & Infants School.

Hi wiccicat.
Do you have your Grandfather on the 1891 and 1901 censuses to see where he and his family were then living. Could they have moved north for work?
Regards Dave.
