Thomas Bourner of Hastings
« on: Sunday 27 March 11 17:33 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to trace ancestor Thomas Bourner of Hastings.  He was married to an Ann and had two daughters: Elizabeth christened 2 March 1748 at St Clement's Church, Hastings (later married to James Wenham) and Susanna christened 30 Oct 1750.

Can anyone help me locate a marriage for Thomas and Ann?  Or any info on this family?

Thank you! Laverdiere

Jan, thank you!  I accidentally did a typo in the dates in my request--I was researching the 1800s earlier today and I gets mentally I was still there!  This family actually lived in the 1700s.

I appreciate your quick response though.  Laverdiere

We live in the St Clements Rectory here in Hastings  My ex wife's mother was a Bourner.  Her great grandparents got married in St Clements.

Not able to help with Laverdiere's question, but I have a James Bourner and Mary Bourner who had Elizabeth Bourner 1761 Battle who married John Smith.

Any help on James Bourner - baptism and marriage to Mary ?
Many thanks
Ewan

I have just consulted "The Sussex Marriage Index, 1537 - 1837" that is on a CD published by the Sussex Family History Group.

Neither the Thomas Bourner= Ann, nor the James Bourner= Mary marriage is listed in the 1700's.
