On the death index on www.italiangen.org, it appears that her first name was transcribed as Jenetta.

You could order from the NYC Municipal Archives - http://www.nyc.gov/html/records/html/vitalrecords/home.shtml

Or, a slightly less expensive option would be ordering a copy through the LDS church using this form - http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/RG/images/FReqMicrofilm.pdf  You would need to include the certificate # as shown on the italiangen death index, and it appears that the appropriate film number would be 1323898.

Thank you shellyesq,

Thanks for the information on the website and how to purchase her death certificate.

I am trying to confirm Janet's parents and I am hoping someone might be able to do a look-up.

Best regards

Ron

I think the only way to do that is to go to the Municipal Archives in person or to order the microfilm through an LDS Family History Center.  There is a volunteer on www.raogk.org in Kings Co., New York who does look-ups at the Municipal Archives.

If it helps at all, it appears that Jennetta may be the only Skirving buried in the cemetery (unless there are unmarked graves):

Hello Ron,

Perhaps if you request a photograph or contact the contributor of on the site Lisa mentions above it may give you some further information on the parents.
