Hi Kim,

Not seeing an obit for Jack, but you could try contacting the Stouffville Library to see if they
can find it.
http://www.wsplibrary.ca/contact/

You can search Ontario Community newspapers, narrow it down to Stouffville, it is very
finicky though.
http://news.ourontario.ca/results?q=jack+pearce

Did pick this up..... Stouffville Tribune, Feb. 4, 1965
Jack Pearce receives a Long Service Medal from the Boy Scouts

Cheers,
DB

ADDED: An easier way to peruse the Stouffville newpapers. Add "Jack Pearce" to the search bar,
then on the right side, click on Stouffville. You can do the same for "Florence Pearce".

* 1962 article says he recently moved from Scarborough, he was a WW2 Royal Navy vet and
served 22 years on the London Metropolitan Poice.

*1964 photo of Florence receiving an award

*1966 a visit from Mr. & Mrs Eric Pearce

Hi Kim,

March 12, 1970, there is a card of thanks thanking friends who called and for the many expressions
of sympathy, Florence Pearce and family.  I'm guessing that was for Jack, which would put his
death Feb./March 1970 time frame.

Wow, DB, you sure found a lot!!

I had eye surgery yesterday and am using my 15 minutes allotment of eye usage to quickly look over all this info.  Once i am allowed to be using my eyes again full time, I'll look over all that info more thoroughly.

Thank you so much for all your help!

Hi Kim,

You're welcome. :)

Rest that/those eyes. All this can wait until you are feeling better.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery,

Cheers,
