Marriage & Birth - O'Mara

Hello .. I wonder if you could assist with locating a marriage and a birth please?

My Patrick O'Mara (born 1866 in Cardiff) married an "Alice unknown" circa 1888.  Her POB is shown as Limerick, but their child, William O'Mara is shown as being born in Tipperary in 1888 - so not 100% where they tied the knot really 

I have them in the 1891 census in Cardiff, but can't find them on the 1881, so assume they are either single, and in Ireland, or badly mistranscribed.

ANY help would be massively appreciated.

Did Patrick and Alice have any later children born in Wales ?

If so you could try searching for birth certs for them to try to find Alice's maiden name. Once you have that you could try searching for the marriage in Ireland or elsewhere. Hopefully Alice will have an uncommon surname...to make the search a bit easier..

Brilliant - thank you.  I noticed they were left as "William O" on 1881 .. I must be going loopy (I have this !?! I am so sorry) .. it's his Brother I don't have on the 1881 census .. don't worry about him 

I have William & Alice on the 1891 census living at 7 Clive Place.  They have William, their Son, with them there, aged 3.

They also had a later Son Alban O'Mara.  I can't find his Birth entry, but I have his death certificate (arrived today) in 1897, aged 5.  He died of measles and Pneumonia.  Coincidentally, his Mother Alice also died in 1897.  Without getting her DC, I'm not sure if they were connected.

Patrick then remarried in 1897 to Winifred Edwards. 

I can't find Albans BC to apply for that to get his MMN, and William was born in Ireland, so can't get it that way either.  They married in Ireland (I think) .. I wonder, would her death entry in 1897 give her Maiden Name? I don't think it does, does it??

That's his Uncle (Patricks Brother) - Alban Joseph (1869, Cardiff).. is he with Emily ??  ...another Alban, mistranscribed as Albron ..

there was a 3rd one too Alban Fanaghan (in Cardiff) born 1867 in Cardiff, Brother to Alban Joseph. .....
(can't find anything for Alban Fanaghan either after his birth)
