Hi Dave.
I'm a bit busy at the minute so I'll just stick the facts down as I see them and if you have any particular questions or doubts I'll have a look at the weekend.
Also you can find these on LanOPC. The registers themselves don't have much more detail.
One thing to note is that I can't say with any certainty
whatsoever that these single mothers married the fathers' of their children. But for research reasons I've assumed they have. One other thing of note (for me at least) is my grandmother was a Wane from Eccleston and I still have Wane relations (living Burnley, Knaresborough and Gloucestershire). So that's my interest in them. I'm descended from the Oliver mentioned below. And in case you're curious about his marriage to the Mary
Heys , yes she was related to the other Heys and was Oliver's second cousin.

This is what my prose style file says about the John Wane you mention. If you disagree with or can correct any of it please just say.
John HEYS-WANE, born 15 October 1818 in Eccleston-in-Chorley, Lancashire. He was baptised 8 November 1818 in St Mary the Virgin, Eccleston; his mother is described as a “single woman” as this was three months before they married. He appears on the 1821 partial census of Eccleston. In 1841 he was a sawyer living with his parents at Wane’s Place, Eccleston. He married (1) Elizabeth HEYS 25 December 1841 in St Mary the Virgin Eccleston, CHORLEY England. She was the older sister of his younger brother Oliver’s wife and is therefore the daughter of Thomas HEYS and Jane CUERDEN mentioned in this file; they were second cousins. Their marriage was witnessed by John HEYS and James Marsden. In 1851 he was a sawyer living at Wood Art Bridge, Eccleston with his family. In 1861 he was a joiner living with his family at Narrow Lane, Eccleston; around the corner from Wood Art Bridge. His wife died in 1862. He married (2) Sarah HOLDING 20 December 1863 in St. Mary the Virgin Eccleston, CHORLEY England. This marriage was witnessed by Thomas WANE (who couldn’t write) and Jannet Critchley. In 1871 he was a joiner and his wife a cotton warper living at Eccleston Green, Eccleston. In 1881 he was a joiner living with his family at Bradley Lane, Eccleston. He died June 1886 in Eccleston, CHORLEY England. He was buried 29 June 1886 at St Mary the Virgin, Eccleston. He had six children with his first wife and one with his second.
