His Father John Freill/Friel (b. !!??) Married Mary Erskine (b. !!?) on 12 May 1870 in Ireland (Londonderry). So I have No other info before or even between .... Like when they moved to Scotland / when & where they died etc.

Welcome to Rootschat, Danny.

Children of John Friel & Mary Erskine-
Mary (born 14 May 1870) https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F5KD-VPV
Helen (born 1873 Scotland) https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FQ7N-45M
Looks like the family might have left Ireland and moved to Scotland between 1870-1873.

Having done a bit more searching I've found an online tree for James Freill (b.1878 Scotland) married to an Elizabeth Smith but he died 1927 in California and parents listed as John Freill & Bridget. The tree also lists siblings of James' including Ellen born 1874 (Helen is the more common form of the name in Scotland), Mary born 1872.

This might be John's death- "John Friel, storekeeper, husband of Bridget, died at 2 Lauriston Street, Greenock on 28th September 1902 (Greenock Telegraph 29.9.1902)"
http://www.inverclyde.gov.uk/education-and-learning/libraries/local-and-family-history/family-history/intimations

According to 1901 census it looks like John was born c1861 in Co. Donegal so too young to be the John Friel who married Mary Erskine in 1870.

Where does Bridget, wife of John Friel, fit into the family tree?

This is the nearest to the family in Scotland, 1881.

John Freil, Head, Masons Lab. M. age 31 years, M. born Ireland,
Bridget Freil, Wife, Masons Wife, M. age 32 years, F. born Ireland,
Mary Freil, Daur, Scholar, Age 9 years, F. born Ireland,
John Freil, Son, Scholar, age 8 years, M. no place of birth given,
Ellen Freil, Daur, Scholar, age 7 Years, F. born Greenock, Renfrew,
Michael Freil, Son, Scholar, age 6 years, M. born Largs, Ayr,
Maggie Freil, Daur, age 4 years, F. born Largs, Ayr,
James Freil, Son, age 3 years, M. born Largs, Ayr.

The above couple ie John Freil, and Bridget, maiden name Erskine, had another child Annie Freil, born 27/Sep.1881. Largs, Ayr.

This may or perhaps may not explain that its possible Mary Erskine, changed her first name to Bridget.

This family are living at 8 Innes Park Buildings, Largs, Ayr. 1881.

The birth of Ellen/Helen, in Greenock, that Aghadowey, found for parents John Freil, and Mary Erskine, is the same birth place for Ellen, aged 7 years, in the above census.

Regards,
Jonn.

Yes from what I have she was also known as Bridget and the birth of Elen is also Correct
So this seems Good ..... Where is it from !?  Census !??

However I have the birth of James for 26 January 1879 But at his marriage 9 January 1899 (included), it says that he is 21 ..... Maybe lied (Legal age or something)

If that's right I have much more relatives to Find !

Thanks Again
Danny

Hello Danny,

You state you have a birth for James, 1879. is it a full Scottish Birth, like the marriage you posted for James and Elizabeth, in your last post, ie does the birth state who his parents names were.

Regards
Jonn.
