There is a marriage in 1815 of a John catt and Elizabeth Baker but unsure where they fit in.  As I found records for John and Mary having children baptised throughout the decade, including Charles 1819 it can't be the same John, can it??

Toni 1841 census for Mary Henty/Catt as above, with John Chapman the miller.

Ah yes I overlooked that census  ::)

Although it looks as if they had separated the census is just 1 night in 10 years she may have been working for the Chapman family and for some reason had to stay overnight on census night maybe the death cert. will actually tell you more as in her address.

P.s. Sue apart from feeling dizzy a lot of the time and the drs have failed to find a cause  ::) I am fine!

Hi I am Carolyn Adams, John Catt was my 4th Great Grandad... so that makes me a direct descendant I think? Only just started on this hunt so at the moment I am just filling in the spaces and hoping I come across stories as they pop up, so thought it would be good to say hi, and I will let you know if I find anything.  :)
cheers Carolyn

Hi Carolyn

Welcome to Rootschat, I confess I haven't even looked at this part of my tree lately.  Have you any information on John and his wife Mary?

Kerry, There is a James Brett born circa 1798 in Wartling (according to the 1851 census) living in Warbleton he is an Ag LAb
members of the house:
James Brett   53
Meriam Brett   47 (wife)
Henry Brett   17
Esther Brett   8
Charles Brett   3
Although i can't spot them immediately on the 1841 census both Henry and Esther are down as being born in Warbleton so i would suggest they were there in 1842 for Mary Catts death
