Hi all,

I have a relative who spent some time in Perth Penetentiary (in the 1860s), I would love to know if records still existed for this jail, and where I might find them.

Any ideas?

I believe that the records for Perth prison are held in the national archives in Edinburgh.

They have an on line index which is searchable.
