There are quite a few hits if you put Chirk Mill into http://isys.llgc.org.uk/   These  are in the Chirk Castle papers and the Puleston papers.

Note that I earlier referred to my Lees of Hanmer. The Puleston line are antecedants and were also from the same area of Flintshire.

Thank you very much for the information in the last few messages - they have been a great help, and I hope of value to other readers.
As far as I know, there is no 'Joseph' Lea anywhere in this immediate line (but I will stand corrected) so it must be the John Lea. Miller, who died in 1839.
