Hi ahylah,
Welcome to RootsChat.
we have all been' newbies' so your in good company!
Your best bet would be to obtain a copy of your grandmothers birth certificate
as you have her year of birth and place.
On her birth cert it will name her parents and when they got married.
Then you can start looking for the siblings.

Just remember not to post info about living rellies or email addresses,
cheers,
Billy.

I would start with more recent records - maybe your grandmother's marriage cert.

You didn't mention if Catherine stayed in Ireland or emmigrated, but marriage certs in most countries will include details of her father which will help confirm details of any births you find.

Catherine  (Kate) came to the US in 1914 to NY .  The rest of her family stayed in Ireland..  I found a few Kates looking at the 1911 Census. I may have found her but I will still request a marriage cert and hopefully a birth certificate...........Thank you everyone for your help........ :) :)

Her Ellis Island record states that her father's name is Martin
