Completed Thankyou
« on: Monday 18 April 11 12:52 BST (UK) »
just maybe someone can help?.....I have my great grandfather Matthew Geraghty  and  his wife Hanora's date of death as I have found where they are buried.......  I know they came from Stonepark Roscommon.
 also the 1901 Census states:
Children:
Mary. E.  14yrs
Patrick.   13yrs
Annie.     4yrs
Thomas.  1yr

1911 Cencus States: .......states 6 children....6 children living ??

Patrick.    20yrs
Annie:     13yrs
Thomas:  11 yrs
Francis:   8 yrs
How can I find the other child ? also is there any way way of finding a rough date of when Matthew and Hanora were married as I dont have Hanora's maiden name
Many thanks for reading this I know its a bit of a mouthful sorry... :)

...

is this the family on the 1911 census ?  Geraghty household, townland of Stonepark

The census form states they are married about 24 years - so about 1887

I would start the search with a birth cert for at least one of the children, to establish Hanora's maiden surname. This looks to be a good match for the youngest child Francis :

 Name: Francis Geraghty
 Registration district: Roscommon
 Event type: Birth
 Quarter and year:   Jul-Sep 1902
 volume : 3 / Page : 239

there's 4 Hanora marriages during the 1st quarter of 1885 in the Registration district of Roscommon, and all with the  volume number 3, and close page numbers ..

  Honoria Coyne, page 316
  Honora Kilgannon, page 319
  Honoria Carr, page 317
  Honoria Rattigan, page 319

the same four come up for me when I try Nora

Is there another variation for Nora/Hanora ?
