wallers and crittendens

im trying to find the parents of sarah "sally" waller born 1922 romney marsh.her birth is on freebmd :

2a 2055 mothers maiden name crittenden.

there are 5 siblings that i can see:

william 1919 bromley 2a 911

james 1920 dover 2a 2102

benjamin 1924 dover 2a 1867

michael 1925 blean 2a 1501

john 1931 blean

ive searched for a waller/crittenden marriage but cant find one.

sarah married william"fritzy"matthews in ashford in 1950,same year their 3rd child was born

benjamin married rebecca emmett.

id be grateful if anyone could tell me who the parents were,and whether there were any more children.

ive searched the census for travelling crittendens and found one on 1901:

william crittenden born 1866 chatham peg maker

elizabeth born 1870 brabourne

mark born 1887 brabourne

jack born 1894 whitstable

charlotte born 1891 capel

ben born 1900 wormsheath

in bredhurst/hollingbourne area.

piece 770 folio 37 p16

with them:

thomas yelden born 1870 wormsheath

elizabeth born 1873 dover

hezekiah born 1893 chatham

thomas born 1895 dover

moses born 1897 brighton

ambrose born 1900.

i wondered about charlotte being the mother,the last waller child being born 1931 would make her 40.the firstborn would be very late for a traveller though,but there could be others.either way,this family could be connected.

any help at all greatly appreciated.

If you look up Sally Waller b 1924 on the 1939 register you will have your answer.  At least 2 of the siblings you mention above are also listed but birthyears are incorrect

The death registration would be the name she used at the time of her death- Sarah Matthews. It sounds as though she was Sally Waller in 1939 register but we aren't allowed to post details from it.

If you look at the 1939 image - no - she was not born as Sally Matthews
