Hi Bendywendy :)

I've moved your photo to the Armed Forces board as I feel it will get more attention there.

Unfortunately it won't be possible to enlarge the picture without it pixellating.  You would have to re-scan the badge area at a higher resolution if it can't be identified as-is.

This may very well be a Christian badge as I can see the fish symbol Chrystos. What that would mean in conjunction with the imperial crown and a  K I can only wonder.
Southern or Southan [Hereford , Monmouthshire & Glos], Jenkins, Meredith and Morgan [Monmouthshire and Glos.], Murrill, Damary, Damry, Ray, Lawrence [all Middx. & London], Nethway from Kenn or Yatton. Also Riley and Lyons in South Africa and Riley from St. Helena.

The family were not Catholic, but that does not mean that she did not become Catholic. She had 3 husbands.
